Inmaculada Alvear Valero-Bernabé
Doctora en Historia Antigua por la Universidad Complutense de Madrid. Se forma en dramaturgia con Mauricio Kartún en Buenos Aires. Estudia con José Sanchis Sinisterra. Adjunta a la dirección Muestra de Teatro de las Autonomías desde 1998 hasta el 2007. Miembro de Teatro del Astillero desde 2001. Jefa del Departamento de Coordinación del INAEM (Ministerio de Cultura) de 2007 a 2009. Accésit al Premio María Teresa León para Autoras dramáticas 2004 para autoras dramáticas por su obra “Mi vida gira alrededor de quinientos metros”. Se estrena en Madrid en 2006 dirigido por Guillermo Heras. Premio Nacional Calderón de la Barca 2004 del Ministerio de Cultura de España por su obra “El sonido de tu boca”. I Accésit al Premio de Teatro Minimalista Albolote (Granada) 2010 por su obra Descabezada. En un minuto, estreno en Murcia en 2008 por Arena Teatro y el Centro Párraga Su texto Paraíso se estrenó en Plot Point en 2015 y en París en 2016 en el Theatre de l`Oprimè
Inmaculada Alvear holds a doctorate in Ancient History from the Complutense University of Madrid and trained as a playwright in Buenos Aires with Mauricio Kartún. She has also studied with José Sanchis Sinisterra. She was assistant director to the Spanish regional theatre festival from 1998 to 2007 and has been a member of the Teatro del Astillero company since 2001. She was also head of the coordination department of the INAEM (Spanish ministry of culture) from 2007 to 2009. In 2004 she was runner-up in the María Teresa León award for female playwrights with her play My Life Revolves Around 500 Metres (Mi vida gira alrededor de quinientos metros), produced in Madrid in 2006 and directed by Guillermo Heras. In 2004 she won the Spanish Ministry of Culture National Calderón de la Barca award for The Sound of your Voice (El sonido de tu boca). In 2010 she was first runner-up in the Albolote Minimalist Theatre award (Granada) for her play Beheaded (Descabezada). In One Minute (En un minuto) was premiered in Murcia in 2008 by Arena Teatro and the Centro Párrago. Her play Paradise (Paraíso) was premiered at Plot Point in 2015 and was produced in Paris in 2016 at the Théâtre de l’Oprimé.
