Margarita Reiz

Margarita Reiz, titulada en Dirección de Escena y Dramaturgia por la RESAD, realiza Doctorado en Humanidades. Dirige Taller de Teatro de Moralzarzal, trabaja como redactora jefe de Primer Acto y como profesora de las ESAD de Torrelodones y de Valladolid. Sus trabajos y textos han sido editados, traducidos o premiados. Dirige y escribe para Cía. Karikatos: Hambre ciega, Konfabulación y su versión de, La orilla rica, de Encarna de las Heras. Fundadora de AMAEM Marías Guerreras estrena en, Tras las tocas, Dímelo hilando o Piezas de bolsillo; dirigió y escribió, Todo irá bien, El día de la culpa, o Pinotxa, aprendiendo a vivir. Para La Mala Compañía dirige la obra de Laila Ripol, Atra bilis; con Teatro de Maleta escribe y dirige, Naturalmente malos. Estrenó, Julieta&Romeo 2.14, con Tabula Rasa; para Yastá Producciones realizo dramaturgia y dirigió, Dos amores, consuelo y desespero. La familia perfecta, se vio en III Festival Atenas. Recientemente recibió galardón por, Mañana será tarde.

Margarita Reiz trained as a stage director and playwright at the RESAD (the Spanish Royal Academy of Dramatic Art) and holds a PHD in Humanities. She is the director of the Moralzarzal theatre workshop, works as editor-in-chief at the theatre journal Primer Acto, and teaches at the theatre conservatoires (ESAD) of Torrelodones and Valladolid. Several of her plays and other writings have been published, translated or the recipients of awards. For the Karikatos theatre company she has written and directed Blind Hunger (Hambre ciega), Kollusion (Konfabulación), and a version of The Rich Shore (La orilla rica) by Encarna de las Heras. The founder of AMAEM Marías Guerreras (the Madrid association for women in the performing arts), her performed works include Behind the Veils (Tras las tocas), and Tell Me it Spinning or Pocket Plays (Dímelo hilando o Piezas de bolsillo). Her other works as writer and director include Everything Will be Fine (Todo irá bien), The Day of Blame (El día de la culpa), and Pinocchia, Learning to Live (Pinotxa, aprendiendo a vivir). For the La Mala company she has directed Atra Bilis by Laila Ripoll, and for Teatro de Maleta she wrote and directed Naturally Bad (Naturalmente Malos). Her adaptation from Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet 2.14 was produced by Tabula Rasa and for Yastá Producciones she has directed Two Loves: Consolation and Despair (Dos amores: consuelo y desespero). Her play The Perfect Family (La familia perfecta) will feature at the III Athens Festival. Recently she received an award for Tomorrow will be late (Mañana será tarde)
