Se oyen sevillanas. Farolillos. Joven matrimonio, vestidos de flamencos, bailan y palmean alrededor del ataúd con el padre de ella. Margarita, setenta y dos años y de luto, con una corona. Se enamoraron por la ventana. Lo llevan. Han perdido su pensión. Elisa, setenta y tres años y tía de él, tira de un ataúd lleno de dinero, joyas, trajes. Heredarán los que la atiendan. Trae un gato negro. Le llama Romeo. Se asoma y la arrojan por la ventana. Roque viste de negro y vive en el asilo. Entra Elisa. Murió el gato. Resurrección de Romeo. Elisa le toca una flauta y Roque se apasiona. Vendrá diariamente. Llega Encarna, setenta y dos años, con una maleta negra. Sus doce hijos la sortean mensualmente. Margarita y Roque, que lo expulsaron del asilo, con otra maleta igual. Ella se va de casa y el marido la sigue. Juegan a la Oca. Les toca la calavera. Esperan indefensos. Regresa el matrimonio. Roque, en sueños, quiere que le toquen la flauta. Se le acercan las tres. Salen. El matrimonio intenta abrir el féretro. Transcurren los años. Lo logran y mueren. Sevillanas. Los ancianos, vestidos de flamencos, bailan y palmean alrededor del ataúd.

Sevillanas play. Lanterns. A young married couple, dressed in flamenco costumes, dance and clap their hands around the coffin containing the wife’s father. Margarita, 72 years old, is dressed in mourning, with a wreath. They fell in love through the window. He’s being taken away. They have lost his pension. Elisa, the husband’s aunt, aged 73, pulls on a coffin filled with money, jewellery and suits. Whoever attends to her will inherit it all. She has a black cat. It is called Romeo. She looks out of the window and is pushed out. Roque is dressed in black and lives in the rest home. Elisa enters. The cat has died. Romeo is resurrected. Elisa plays the flute, to Roque’s great excitement. She will come every day. Encarna arrives, aged 72, with a black suitcase. Her 12 children draw lots for it every month. Margarita and Roque, who has been thrown out of the care home, with another suitcase just like it. She is leaving home and her husband is following her. They play the Game of the Goose. They land on the Skull. They wait, defenceless. The married couple returns. Roque, in a dream, wants someone to play the flute to him. The three of them approach him. They exit. The married couple tries to open the casket. The years pass. They succeed and they die. Sevillanas. The old people, dressed in flamenco costumes, dance and clap their hands around the coffin.
