Juan García "Corredera" fue un fugitivo del régimen franquista durante más de veinte años en Gran Canaria y el último ajusticiado a garrote vil en las islas en 1959. Su persecución política, su grotesca condena, su pasión humana y su conversión en mito son reflejadas en clave de teatro épico.
Known as ‘El Corredera’, Juan García Suárez was a fugitive from the Franco regime for over 20 years on Gran Canaria and the last person in the Canary Islands to be executed by garrotting, in 1959. His political persecution, his grotesque sentence, his human passion and his conversion into a legend are reflected in this piece of epic theatre.
