DIOS, ¿DÓNDE ESTÁS QUE NO TE SIENTO?
God, where are you that I can´t feel you?
Miguel Hernández, desde su lecho de muerte, intuye la visita de su esposa. Recuerda: su encuentro con Neruda (éste también le habla de su amor por Delia del Carril y del desamor hacia su esposa y a esa niña disminuida que no puede soportar). Miguel le habla de la distancia social con Lorca, de su amor por Josefina Manresa y de su primer encuentro con el sexo a través de su relación con la pintora Maruja Mallo. Evoca la muerte de Lorca, de su amigo Ramón Sijé… La escena final, otra vez en la enfermería de la cárcel. Allí yace un Miguel Hernández a punto de dejar la vida (será sustituido en la cama por un muñeco). El hablará junto a ésta, como alma que va dejando el cuerpo.
Miguel Hernández senses the visit of his wife from his deathbed. He remembers: his meeting with Neruda (who also talks about his love for Delia Del Carril and his lack of affection to his wife and to that disabled daughter of theirs he can´t bear). Miguel talks about the social gap between Lorca and himself, his love for Josefina Manresa, and his first sexual encounter with painter Maruja Mallo. He recalls Lorca´s death, his friend Ramón Sijé´s death... In the final scene, once again in the prison infirmary lies Miguel Hernández, about to leave this life (replaced by a doll in this scene. He talks next to the doll, as a soul leaving the body.
