Sinopsis Cesáreo es viudo y tiene a su único hijo viviendo en Estados Unidos. Cumple setenta y cinco años y se dispone a celebrarlo en la soledad de su modesto piso de un barrio popular de Madrid. A su vez, un encuentro deportivo de fútbol muy importante, se va a disputar esa misma noche. Todo parece ir bien hasta que cae al suelo accidentalmente y no puede levantarse. A partir de ahí vivirá una epopeya pidiendo ayuda sin ser escuchado. Inspirada en un hecho real de alguien muy cercano a la vida del autor, la obra es una puesta en escena de nosotros mismos y de nuestra caída, esa que algún día llegará pero no queremos mirarla a la cara. También plantea las siguientes preguntas: ¿El individualismo acelera la caída? ¿Hasta qué punto nos negamos a prestar la mano de quien lo necesita?

Synopsis Cesáreo is a widower whose only son lives in the United States. He is turning 75, and is preparing to celebrate his birthday alone in his modest flat in a working-class neighbourhood of Madrid. Meanwhile, a crucial football match is about to take place that same night. All is well until Cesáreo has an accident and falls. He is unable to get back up, and the story begins of him calling for help but not being heard. Inspired by a real event experienced by someone very close to the author, the play is an exploration of ourselves and of our own fall: the fall that will come one day but which we fail to face up to. It also asks the following questions: does individualism make us fall sooner? To what extent do we refuse to lend a hand to a person who needs it?
