Sinopsis Estamos en Villar del Río, décadas después de que se rodara allí la popular película de Berlanga. Sus habitantes reciben la terrible noticia de que la principal empresa del pueblo, en manos de una multinacional norteamericana, ha decidido echar el cierre. Ante la inminente catástrofe, las “fuerzas vivas” del lugar idean un plan con el fin de salvar su pueblo... y contar, si es posible, con el parabién de sus “bienhechores” yanquis. Es el drama de nuestra “España vaciada” en clave de humor crítico.

Synopsis We are in Villar del Río, decades after Berlanga's popular film was filmed there. Its inhabitants receive the terrible news that the town's main company, in the hands of a North American multinational, has decided to close. Faced with the imminent catastrophe, the "living forces" of the place devise a plan in order to save their town... and have, if possible, the congratulations of their Yankee "benefactors." It is the drama of our “emptied Spain” in a key of critical humor.
