Who am I?
La historia de alguien nacido en la década de los setenta con familiares republicanos con los que el franquismo se ensañó. El franquismo y el oportunismo de un juez que valiéndose de su situación de privilegio prevaricó para hacerse con las propiedades de su abuelo exiliado al término de la guerra civil. El padre de nuestro protagonista, desengañado, tras fracasar en sus intentos por recuperar las propiedades incautadas por el Juez se exilia voluntariamente en México y abandona a su mujer y a su hijo. Ëste, que ha crecido desde los ochos años bajo el manto protector de la madre, se debate entre continuar judicialmente, ya con la Constitución española en vigor, aquello que no puedo realizar su padre durante la transición española o iniciar una nueva vía que desemascare al Juez prevaricador aunque con ello renuncie a reclamar los bienes robados a su abuelo...La historia se cuenta sobre los hilos narrativos de la tragedia de Séneca: Fedra. La devoción de la madre protectora por el hijo no llega a ser realmente el complejo clásico más que en la mente del padre que regresa a España después de treinta años y siendo ya otro distinto del que fue.
The story of someone born in the 1970s with Republican family members who have suffered mercilessly under Francoism. Francoism and the opportunism of a judge who, taking advantage of his privileged provision, perverted the course of justice in order to take the property of his grandfather, an exile since the end of the Civil War. Our protagonist’s father, disillusioned after failing in his attempts to retrieve the properties stolen by the judge, goes into voluntary exile in Mexico and leaves his wife and son. The son, who has grown up since the age of eight under his mother’s protective hand, debates whether to continue the judicial process, now that the Spanish constitution is in force, something that his father could not do during the transition to democracy, or to start a new route to unmask the corrupt judge, even though this would mean giving up on recouping the property stolen from his grandfather. The mother’s protective devotion to her child is not quite the classic complex; rather it is in the mind of the father who returns to Spain after 30 years, now a different man to who he was.
