‘Z Theory’, also known as the ‘Japanese Method’, is an administrative theory developed by William Ouchi and his collaborator Richard Pascale. It is based on human relationships and aims to understand the worker as a whole person, whose work and personal lives cannot be separated. It therefore invokes certain special conditions such as trust, teamwork and a job for life. But theory is one thing; practice is quite another. Damián, a worker bullied by his boss, tries to explain himself to his interrogator. This play was awarded the Luis Barahona de Soto award 2011.
