Sinopsis 1957. Una pareja que acaba de ser expropiada decide instalarse en el madrileño barrio de Vallecas. Hasta ellos ha llegado el rumor de casas que se construyen a la luz de luna para sortear la vigilancia policial, donde familias enteras reciben la ayuda de sus vecinos. Dos de ellas, instaladas desde hace tiempo, les ayudarán en la construcción. Todo sucederá en una noche, ya que de ser fijados sus cimientos básicos no podrá ser derruida a la mañana siguiente. Veinticuatro horas para mostrarnos un puente entre el ayer y el hoy, desde un hecho cotidiano en la España de los años cuarenta y cincuenta.
